Waiheke island wine tours just keeps growing!
Business is so brisk that the owners of the only Qualmark-accredited wine tour business on Waiheke Island have invested in a second vehicle. “We started keeping track of how much business we were turning away” said owner Wayne Eagleton “and decided that it was the time to take the next step”. The vehicle, also a 12-seater effectively doubles the business’ capacity and they can now comfortably handle 18 – 20people.
‘This opens the door for corporate groups of a larger size than we have been able to handle in the past’ said Jean Goodbrand, co-owner, ‘we work hard to give an exceptional experience and this means we can be completely synonymous with both vehicles which is great both for us and our clients.’
The company is riding on the back of having been recognised by Trip Advisor in 2013 with a Certificate of Excellence as well as being a finalist in the 2013 Auckland Central Business Awards.
The company has all the island’s top vineyards in their repertoire including Te Motu, Obsidian, Jurassic Ridge, Kennedy Point, Peacock Sky, Cable Bay and Mudbrick, all of whom provide outstanding client experiences. For private tours Man O’ War Bay and Passage Rock vineyards can also be included. ‘No matter what the weather, our clients are blown away by the island’s scenic beauty, the vineyards we visit, the people we meet and the fun we have. Lasting friendships are formed and they leave the island with big smiles on their faces and great stories to tell their friends about their day trip to paradise’.
The couple says ‘We are very excited about the new opportunities presented by the acquisition of this vehicle – we can really start tapping into the group and private tour market now’.
